LL-H tops Blue Bolts, 59-54
DOLLAR BAY — Lake Linden-Hubbell surged in the fourth quarter to spill Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 59-54 on Tuesday.
The Lakes scored 18 points in the final quarter, led by Mason Codere’s six points. Codere made four free throws.
LL-H led 32-28 at halftime, but the Blue Bolts took a 42-41 lead after three quarters.
Marcus Sutherland led Lake Linden-Hubbell with 14 points.
AJ Datto led the Blue Bolts with 24 points. He made four three-pointers, including two in the fourth quarter. Amos Norland had 19 points, but fouled out.
“Free throws and fundamentals were the difference in tonight’s contest,” Dollar Bay-TC coach Jesse Kentala said. “Lake Linden was better composed and we need to get better in the little aspects of the game. Gabe Popko really hurt us in the paint in the fourth quarter. But lots to improve upon and lots to work on. We’ll continue to get better.”
