Michigan Tech releases 2022-23 hockey schedule
Michigan Tech released its 2022-23 schedule on Thursday.
The Huskies begin the season Oct. 8 at the U.S. National Development Program. Tech’s regular season opener is Oct. 14-15 at Alaska.
The Huskies’ home opener is Oct. 21-22 against Bemidji State.
Tech hosts Bowling Green on Feb. 10-11 for Winter Carnival.
MTU said in a press release that it’s “committed to hosting a four-team Great Lakes Invitational in late December. An official announcement will be made at a later date.”
The Huskies return to the Desert Hockey Classic for the second time after winning it in January 2016. Tech plays at Arizona State on Jan. 6, followed up either Air Force or Boston University.
MTU visits Bowling Green on Nov. 4-5, then hosts Lake Superior State the following weekend.
Tech’s only non-conference home series is Oct. 28-29 against St. Lawrence.
The Huskies end the regular season at Minnesota State on Feb. 24-25. The CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs begin with the best-of-3 first round on March 3-5. The semifinals are March 11 with the CCHA Championship March 18. The NCAA Tournament begins with regionals March 23-25. The Frozen Four is in Tampa, Florida, on April 6 and the national championship game April 8.
