Houghton High School graduate Eric Weiss signed a National Letter of Intent to run at the University of North Dakota beginning in the fall. Weiss won the 800-meter, 1600, and 3200 running events for Houghton at the MHSAA Division 1 track and field regional meet this year. He was named 2021 WestPAC Cross Country Runner of the Year, and runner-up at the 2020 and 2021 MHSAA Cross-Country UP Finals. He also lettered in swimming and diving during his senior year.
