GLI tickets going on sale today

Tickets for the 57th annual Great Lakes Invitational go on sale at 10 a.m. today.

It’s the first time the annual tournament will be played at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Dec. 27-28.

Cost is $40 and $50 for lower bowl sections, $75 on the glass, and $30 for upper bowl tickets. Student tickets are available for $20. Ticket pricing is subject to change.

Michigan Tech plays Western Michigan at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 27. Michigan State plays Ferris State at 7 p.m.

Winners of those games play at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 in the GLI championship. The third-place game is 3:30 p.m.

The Michigan Tech student section will be section 124, and the pep band will be in section 225.

Tickets are available at VanAndelArena.com and DeVos Performance Hall box office in Grand Rapids.

This year will be the 17th GLI tournament featuring all Michigan-based teams. MTU has won the tournament 11 times and is defending champion from 2019. The 2020 tournament was canceled because of COVID-19, and 2021 was a non-touranment showcase.
