In area high school volleyball Tuesday, Chassell, Ironwood, Wakefield-Marenisco, and Dollar Bay-Tamarack City all earned victories.

The Panthers needed to win the final two sets to earn a 3-1 win over the Nimrods. Chassell won the first set 27-25, fell in the second set, 25-20, and then stormed back with a 25-14 win in the third and a 25-9 win in the fourth.

Trisha Pietila had six kills and eight aces. Emma Goddard had four kills and eight aces.

Kylee Sohlden had seven kills. Saige Hietala had 10 kills. Kierah Hietala added 17 assists.

In other action, Dollar Bay outlasted Ontonagon in three sets, 25-20, 25-23, and 25-19. L’Anse fell to Wakefield in straight sets, 25-18, 25-23, and 25-11. Ironwood topped Jeffers in three sets, winning 25-21, 25-6, and 25-18.
