The Baraga Vikings earned a sweep of the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts in volleyball on Thursday. Over the weekend, the Calumet Copper Kings played in the Duluth Invite, going 2-2 with wins over Roosevelt and International Falls.

The Vikings won the first set in a close game, 25-22, before cruising to 25-18 and 25-17 wins in the next two sets.

Calumet opened the Duluth Invite with a loss in straight sets to Superior, 25-18, 25-20. They followed that loss with the win over Roosevelt, 25-13, 25-17.

After falling to Nevis in three sets, 25-22, 18-25, 9-15, the Copper Kings bounced back with a three-set win over International Falls, 25-20, 17-25, 15-11.
