Gremlins shut down Redmen
MARQUETTE — Bryant Lee made 20 saves in a shutout as the Houghton Gremlins hockey team won their second game of the season, 3-0, on the road against the Marquette Redmen at Lakeview Arena.
The Gremlins struck once each period with senior winger Landon Stevens scoring just 1:42 into the contest and again at the 7:32 mark of the third to help lead the way.
Michael Maillette scored the Gremlins’ other goal at 13;26 of the second period.
Co-captains Camden Markham and Gaborik Carlson each picked up assists in the contest.
The win was the second for the Gremlins on the road after they defeated the Escanaba Eskymos, 8-0, on Friday in Escanaba.
