Men’s cross country trio earns All-Region accolades
NEW ORLEANS — The Michigan Tech men’s cross country team earned three All-Region performances in sophomore Drew Kolodge, senior Clayton Sayen and sophomore Sam Lange at the Midwest Regional Championships on Saturday morning.
The feat ties a program-high record of three All-Region performers coming back in 2019, the first year the Huskies earned a trip to the National Championships in Sacramento, California.
Kolodge had the second-best finish for Michigan Tech at the Midwest Regional placing eighth overall (31:01.05), Sayen, a Houghton local, placed 11th in the meet (31:26.97) with Lange close behind in 15th-place (31:35.10).
The men of Michigan Tech will now wait for the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship committee to make its at-large selections. The full field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 21 on NCAA.com.
