LAKE LINDEN -- In late August, during the weekend of the 25-27, multiple local racers descended upon Lake Linden for the annual Jeff Moyle Memorial Watercross races.
In may ways, it was fitting that Dayton Moyle had the biggest day of all, winning one division and finishing second in another, while also placing in the top four in a third.
Dayton scored the biggest victory of the day in the Semi Pro Open division, where he finished first, ahead of Matt Czeczok and Adam Hiller for the top spot on the podium. Dayton also took second in the Pro Stock division behind David Fischer.
In Lemans, Dayton took fourth, finishing behind Fischer, Chris Erzar, and Bradley Barrette.
Fischer won the Pro Open, finishing ahead of Barrette and Erzar.
The Sport Open division was won by another local, 15-year-old Steve Voelker, who topped Kevin Skelton and Ryan Heikkinen.
Blake Moyle placed fifth in the Sport Open division.
Other local racers included Tim Corrigan, who took sixth in the Semi Pro Open division. Tom Hodges finished eighth in the Semi Pro Open division.
Kolten Laurie finished sixth in the Semi Pro Stock division and ninth in the Semi Pro Open. Chris Codere took ninth in the Sport Open division.
Jesse Barrette placed seventh in the Semi Pro Stock division.
Chris Bigger finished second in the Semi Pro Stock division.
