Lenz earns First Team, Meister and Rondorf tabbed Second Team All-GLIAC

HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech junior guard Isabella Lenz repeats as a First Team All-GLIAC honoree, while Katelyn Meister and Alex Rondorf earn Second Team All-GLIAC. Meister was named to the GLIAC All-Defensive team in the same release from the league office on Friday morning both honors are the first of her career.

This is Rondorf’s second time earning Second Team All-GLIAC honors.

Lenz, logging the most minutes in the league this season, playing just under 35 minutes per game, scored 215 points in GLIAC play, averaging 11.9 points per outing. She averaged 3.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in conference play. The Prescott, Wisconsin, native played all 18 conference games, making 17 starts. She scored in double-figures a team-leading 20 times this season with her career-high of 23 points, coming at Saginaw Valley on Feb. 24. Her 3.5 assists per outing ranks fourth in the league with 11.9 points per game, ranking 12th.

Meister, a senior guard from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, started every game of her senior campaign scoring 10.8 points to go with 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game in GLIAC play. She ranks eighth in rebounds in the league and 15th in points. She became the 30th player in program history to score 1,000 points and the third player this season. Her active hands defensively rank eighth in the league with 0.8 blocks in GLIAC play.

Rondorf, a native of West Bend, Wisconsin, averaged 7.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals in league play. The senior guard played in 16 and started 15 GLIAC games this season. Her 6.7 rebounds in GLIAC play rank fifth overall. She was the best 3-point shooter for the Huskies this season, going 20-for-48 from 3-point range at a clip of 41.7 percent, which ranks 15th in the league. She became the 29th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, coming on Feb. 29 against Davenport. 

The Huskies concluded the 2023-24 season in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals, finishing with an overall record of 15-12 and 11-7 in GLIAC play.
