NEW ORLEANS — Michigan Tech senior middle distance runner Sam Lange has earned  USTFCCCA All-Region accolades for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season, announced Friday.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Washington, Illinois, native has been named to the Midwest All-Region team in the 1,500m. 

Lange ran one of the top-five fastest 1,500m in the region at the Lee Last Chance Meet on May 11, clocking a new personal-best time of 3:45.01. 

The time was good enough to qualify Lange for his first NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, competing in Emporia, Kansas, on Thursday in the 1,500m preliminary round.
