Jets softball falls twice to Patriots
SOUTH RANGE — The Jeffers Jets softball team lost a pair of games Wednesday against the Westwood Patriots. The opening game took nine innings, with the Patriots winning, 10-6. The nightcap went just four innings as the Patriots rolled to a 24-7 win.
In the opener, the game went into the ninth tied 6-6 after the Jets had a chance to break the deadlock in the seventh, but could not find a way to close it out before the inning came to an end.
In the second game, the Patriots picked up 19 hits. The Jets were held to eight.
Elli Kuntze and Chloe Snell had two hits each.
Kuntze had a strong game, racking up four RBIs.
