In majors little league action, Superior Events beat Team Pepsi, 19-9. Pepsi jumped out to an early 10-3 lead with a three-run home run from Oliver Pennala, but it wasn’t enough to hold off SE, who came back with a 16-run bottom of the fourth inning rally, led by some great hitting from Chase Aho, Dane Guidotti and a James Thompson grand slam to claim the win.

Superior Events defeated Midwest Loans, 17-7. SE got off to a nine-run first and a eight-run second inning to jump out to a 17-run lead, which was just too much for Midwest Loans to catch up to.

The bats were going, with two singles from Henry Knoch, a triple from Drade Dunstan and a three-run shot over the center field fence from James Thompson. SE kept ML quiet in the first two innings with some solid pitching from Brennan Seppala.

ML got some momentum with a 6-run bottom of the third, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit. 

Other majors scores included Keweenaw Chevrolet falling to Team Pepsi, 5-7. Midwest Loans beat Copper Country Family Dentistry, 11-8. Copper Country Family Dentistry beat Designotype in a close one, 15-14.

In minors action, Houghton Fire defeated U.P Ward Ortho, 15-7. Superior Land Improvements beat State Farm Dean Kangas Agency, 12-9. Erickson Feed, Seed & Pet Supply beat 1902 Tap & Grill, 10-0.
