CHEBOYGAN – The Portage Lake Little League Minors softball team defeated Taylor North on Sunday, 9-6, to finish pool play with a 3-0 record in Pool A.

They then defeated Three Rivers Monday, 10-2, to advance to Tuesday’s semifinals at 9:30 a.m. against the winner of Grosse Pointe and Algonac.

Allie Metlach was credited with the win.

If Portage Lake wins Tuesday morning, they will face the winner of Escanaba and Georgetown for the championship at 12 p.m.
