Blue Bolts boys roll to win over Chassell

DOLLAR BAY — With 30 points in the first quarter and 54 by halftime, the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts boys basketball team rolled to a victory Friday at home over the Chassell Panthers, 78-29.

“Very nice team win tonight,” said Blue Bolts coach Jesse Kentala. “The first half all three phases of the game were efficient. Great way to end the week.”

Liam Tourtillott, who led all scorers with 32 points, scored 10 points in the first quarter alone for Dollar Bay. Baron Colbert added seven, and Noah Tourtillott had nine.

Luke Tarvis, who led the Panthers with 15 points, scored nine of them in the opening quarter, but Chassell found themselves down 30-13 after eight minutes.

In the second quarter, Dollar Bay put the game out of reach as Liam Tourtillott racked up another 10 points, and Landon Halkola scored five.

Chassell got one 3-pointer from Braydon Larson in the quarter as their only basket. He finished his night with 10 points.

In the third, Liam Tourtillott was at it again, racking up a pair of 3-pointers as part of a 10-point quarter.

Dollar Bay had three other players in double figures. Noah Tourtillott had 13 points, Tyler Jaehnig had 12, as did Colbert.
