HOUGHTON — Sophomore Terrance Nolan set a school record for 3-pointers made in a game as he led the Houghton Gremlins boys basketball team to a win over the visiting West Iron County Wykons Monday at the Houghton High School gym.

“Good team defensive effort provided the spark for a win tonight,” said Gremlins coach Jared Lawson.

Nolan racked up 44 points on the night, thanks to hitting 11 3-pointers in the game, which broke his previous record of 10 from earlier this season.

Mason Mayo and Alex Hebert chipped in for the Gremlins with 13 points each.

Seth Oberlin led the Wykons with 26 points.
