Hancock pitcher Lucy Biekkola had a strong week last week. She opened with a 12-2 win over L’Anse where she went 5 2/3 innings, striking out eight, walking one, and giving up five hits Tuesday. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored. In the nightcap, she pitched six innings in relief, striking out eight, walking none, and giving up nine hits. At the plate, she went 4-for-5, with two runs scored and three RBI as the Bulldogs won 16-11. Saturday, she went 4 2/3 innings as the Bulldogs rolled over Rudyard, 10-0.
