Copper Mountain Conference announces all-conference golf

LAKE LINDEN — The Copper Mountain Conference announced its all-conference teams Wednesday. The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes boys were the conference champions, and that led to a number of individual awards for the group. On the girls’ side, the Ironwood Red Devils were the conference champions.

For the boys, Lakes junior Brayden Beaudette was named Golfer of the Year. Brett Poissant was named Coach of the Year.

All three of the Axford triplets, Tyler, Brady, and Lukas, all juniors, were named to the all-conference team. Joining them were Ironwood sophomore Caleb Sprague, and Baraga sophomore Kale Cichosz.

Red Devils sophomore Cristina Bracher was named Golfer of the Year on the girls’ side. Red Devils coach Ethan Roehm earned Coach of the Year honors.

Red Devils players Kaira Anderson, a senior, Kaylee Balduc, a freshman, and Keely McRae, a sophomore, were named to the all-conference team. Also honored were Ontonagon Gladiators juniors Summer Stites and Olivia Lockhart.
