Hancock takes multiple All-Conference honors in golf

HOUGHTON — The Hancock Bulldogs earned multiple honors from the WestPAC in boy’s golf this season. The Bulldogs were named Team of the Year, and coach Paul Sintkowski was named Coach of the Year.

Houghton’s Brendan Jukuri was named Player of the Year. His scoring average for the season was 36.8 per nine holes.

The Bulldogs had multiple players named to the conference’s First Team. Connor Helminen averaged 37.8 strokes per nine. Nolan Hanner averaged 39.8.

The Calumet Copper Kings had three players get named. Robert Loukus, who averaged 38.7 strokes per nine holes, led the way. Joining him were Ben Anderson (40.2) and Carter Salata (40.7).

Houghton’s Jack Sayen earned honors for his scoring average of 38.8. Also named was Jeffers’ Carson L’Esperance, who averaged 39.0 strokes per nine holes.
