HOUGHTON -- Michigan Tech Huskies football head coach and 2025 GLIAC Coach of the Year Dan Mettlach has announced the hiring of Bryan Parker as the Huskies' new wide receiver coach. Parker returns to Michigan Tech after most recently serving as the wide receivers coach while also coordinating video and camps at Texas A&M-Kingsville this past spring.
“We are very excited to welcome Brian back to our staff,” said Mettlach. “His familiarity with our program, and Michigan Tech as a whole, will be a tremendous benefit for us.”

Parker spent 2025 as a defensive analyst at Coastal Carolina after coaching wide receivers at Valparaiso University in 2023 and 2024. Prior to Valpo, Parker spent the 2022 season as a graduate assistant at Kent State, and the Spring of 2023 as the inside wide receivers coach at Austin Peay State University.
He was previously part of the Michigan Tech football coaching staff in 2021 and into the spring of 2022, where he served as the outside linebackers coach. Prior to joining the Huskies, Parker coached wide receivers, defensive backs, and coordinated special teams at Elkhorn Area High School in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Parker, a native of Fontana, Wisconsin, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Huskies staff. He graduated from Indiana University with a Liberal Studies degree where he played wide receiver and returned kicks in the Big Ten under current Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer in 2019 and 2020. Prior to Indiana, Parker spent two years at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where he studied economics and started 21 consecutive games at wide receiver in 2017 and 2018.
Parker joined the coaching profession immediately after his playing career, following in the footsteps of his father Doug Parker, who was a head high school football and wrestling coach in the state of Wisconsin for over 25 years.
Parker began his second stint with the Huskies on July 1.
