DOLLAR BAY -- The Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts volleyball played the Baraga Vikings at home Friday night, hoping to come out to challenge the undefeated Vikings. The Blue Bolts fought hard, but ultimately dropped three sets, 28-30, 24-26, and 18-25.
For the Blue Bolts, Kiya Kemppainen stepped in as setter for the injured Sylvie Kentala. She ended the night with 22 assists, one setter kill, and 22 digs.
Laila Bell led all hitters with 11 kills. Haley Pakkala came in hot at the service line with 13 points and three aces.
Ellie Keranen led the defense with 36 digs.
