Freshman outside hitter Kayla Heinonen racked up 37 kills in her Michigan Tech debut this past weekend in the UP North Tournament. The Delano, Minnesota, native had nine kills against Minnesota-Duluth, then set a career high Friday with 10 against St. Cloud State. Saturday, she put up seven against California State-East Bay before setting a new career high with 11 against Winona State.
