Huskies soccer falls at Saginaw Valley

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Michigan Tech Huskies soccer team fell 3-0 to the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals Friday afternoon. The Cardinals scored a pair of goals in the first half and another in the second at Robert C. Braddock Field.

Abby Ellis found the back of the net 2:11 into the game from Ryleigh Gray and Gracie Cwik to give the home team the lead.

Kylie Cesarek added to the lead at 18:25 from Emily Kolodin.

Emily Kolodin gave the Cardinals a three-goal lead at 66:42 with the assist going to Melanie Kolnitys.

Saginaw Valley led in shots 21-4, including a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Senior midfielder Ryley Winrich and sophomore midfielder Karli Koskinen generated the shots on goal. Michigan Tech also held a 6-5 advantage in corners.
