It’s that time again
Coat the Copper Country under way
Provided photo Young Emmet and his mom Aili look all ready for the upcoming cold winter. You can help others prepare for whats ahead by donating to the Coat the Copper Country campaign.
HANCOCK — It’s time to look at how many coats are in your closet.
It’s time to check the fit and ask yourself if you’d like a different color or style.
It’s also time to consider donating your gently used, clean, warm winter wear to the annual COAT THE COPPER COUNTRY campaign.
The Salvation Army Bread of Life Center and Copper Country Angel Mission, are partnering to collect good, still useable, winter coats/jackets, boots, hats, scarves, water proof gloves or mittens. All sizes are needed, especially for children (K-12) and men.
You can drop off your donations at The Salvation Army office at 408 Ravine St. in Hancock, (open Monday through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or at the Copper Country Angel Mission store at 433 fifth St. Calumet (open Wednesdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
Other donation sites are available in the area including several local churches. If your business church or organization would like a COAT THE COPPER COUNTRY donation box, call 906-482-3420 or 906-729-6789 and they will get you one.
There are those who need and those who have more than they need. Opportunity to offer much needed “warmth” to your community…brothers and sisters, big and small, is right now. Please consider joining us in this effort. Collection is ongoing through October.
