HANCOCK — The All American Circus is coming to Hancock this weekend. Two shows will start on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. at HOCO Arena.

All American Circus started its Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin summer tour dates this week. It will make appearances in Newberry, Escanaba, L’Anse/Baraga, Hancock and Ontonagon.

Community Development for the City of Hancock, Todd Gast, said the circus is a perfect opportunity for family-friendly fun.

“Our mission here in the City of Hancock: we keep all of our events, very family-forward,” he said. “We’ve gotten a rhythm enough in the City of Hancock, to say, ‘oh yeah, that sounds like a Hancock event.'”

Gast said Hancock’s residents are very grateful to have facilities like the Hancock Community Hub, the campground, the beach, Quincy Green and especially HOCO Arena.

“I think the arena is definitely a wonderful pull to have a circus like this,” he said.

A kid’s fun zone will be open prior to showtimes on both days. Various circus acts at All American Circus include: juggling, motorcycle shows, the swimming trapeze and more.

Gast said HOCO arena has many exciting events in its off-season and All American Circus is just one of them.

Tickets can be purchased on-site at the box office or online for additional deals. An adult ticket is $20 and a child ticket is $8 at the door. For online prices, early bird tickets are $9.95, family early bird tickets are $34.99, regular family tickets are $49.99, adults are $15 and children are $5.
