On behalf of the Copper Harbor Playground Project I would like to thank the entire Keweenaw community for their generous support! We have received nearly 3,000 individual donations ranging from kids sending $1 of their allowance money to thousands of dollars from local businesses. Every donation counts! Without this support our project would never have been possible. When the idea for a new playground in Copper Harbor was born, we didn’t know if we could raise a single dollar, but just a few short years later we are nearly at our goal of $145,000! With that, we are proud to announce that we have a day set for the community build. On August 24 we are asking volunteers to help us install the new equipment. If we have enough bodies it will only take one day to complete! Thank you again for your support, and we hope to see you on build day!
