Your choice of publishing the Friday, Sept 13 cartoon commentary by Stiglich was poorly researched and inappropriate. Swift herself is a credible role model who was actually protecting her hacked Instagram and followers (with her political post) from fake political claims and quotes. Her actual post encouraged voting registration. She has a right to indicate who her favored candidate is, express her art, and protect her influential Instagram site from liars who claim to be her. I have 26 years of working in corrections and have worked in every prison in the U.P. I understand the shortage of corrections officers and it is nothing new; this has been going on for years and even decades. I have witnessed the high level of stress and the burnout of my fellow workers. It is time to put this crisis to an end. At one time, corrections jobs were coveted; they had good pay, decent benefits and enough staffing to ensure safe coverage.
