• “Oliver” at the Calumet Theatre. 7:30 p.m. Charles Dickens’ novel Oliver Twist comes to life with the Calumet Players’ musical rendition of OLIVER at the historic Calumet Theatre. The cast and crew are local community members who love sharing their talents! You never know whom you might catch on stage! September 20, 26 – 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at calumettheatre.com or by calling the box office at 906-337-2610.

• Let’s Eat Community Meal 4 – 5:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Chassell, sponsored and organized by The Chassell Lions Club. The menu will be Lasagna, cole slaw, fruit and dessert.

• Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds meets at 6:30 p.m. Portage Lake District Library, Houghton. Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy MInds is a public group, and we welcome anyone interested in our mission: “to support healthy minds through connection and community.” We are on Facebook and our email address is ksup4healthyminds@gmail.com.
• The Copper Country Veterans Association will be meeting 7 p.m. at the Chassell VFW. All Veterans are welcome to attend

• Better Together will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church on 400 Ingot Street in Hancock. The speaker will be Carol Jones and her topic will be, “What’s on Your Mind?” Special music will be provided by Stephanie Eshbach Veenstra and Katelyn Eshbach. A brunch will be served and there is suggested donation of $10. All proceeds over the cost of the event will be donated to local charities.
