November 18

• Men on Boats, 7:30 p.m. McArdle Theatre, Walker Building. “Men on Boats” by Jaclyn Backhaus tells the “mostly” true story of John Wesley Powell’s 1869 expedition down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. The comedy runs at 7:30 each evening through Friday.

November 19

• Holiday Talent Show Tryouts, 4 p.m. Little Gem Theatre, Lake Linden. The Little Gem Community Center will present a holiday talent show Saturday, December 20. Tryouts will take place at 4 p.m. and are open to everyone of any age.

November 20

• Swedetown Trails Club annual all-member meeting will be held in the Swedetown Chalet. Social time at 6:30. The meeting begins at 7 pm with highlights of new projects. We will have a presentation on the plan to expand and improve the Swedetown Chalet. Anyone interested is welcome!

November 22

• Craft fair/pancake breakfast, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dollar Bay – Tamarack City School. The Dollar Bay School will host a pancake breakfast and Christmas craft fair. Breakfast will be served from 8 until 11 in the cafeteria. The craft show will be open from 9 until 2 in the gym, with crafts, Christmas decorations and baked goods.

• Keweenaw International Children’s Festival 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Portage Lake District Library. There will be music, international food, crafts, photo booth and fun. Free and open to everyone.

• Hancock Cool Season Tori, 9 a.m. to noon, at the HOCO
