• Blood Drive 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. L’Anse United Methodist Church, 304 Bendry st. L’Anse. The U.P. Regional Blood Center will hold a blood drive at the L’Anse Methodist Church. Walk-ins are welcome.

• Neighbor’s table Community Meal, 5:30 – 7 p.m. Faith Lutheran Church Calumet. All are welcome, at no charge.

February 28

• VFW Auxiliary Annual Fishing Tournament, Portage Lake and Chassell Bay. 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Register at Chassell VFW, Today thru Friday, 6 p.m. to close, Saturday, 7-10 A.m.

• Bounce the Winter Blues Away, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Hancock Community Hub. This bouncy house fundraiser features bouncy houses, velcro wall, games, music, concessions and sledding. $20 for the first child, $10 for each additional child.

• Star painting party, noon – 4 p.m. Carnegie Museum of the Keweenaw, Houghton. Bring your creativity to the Carnegie Museum, where the City of Houghton Beautification Committee will be set up in the Community Room with plenty of paint and blank stars, to be painted stars to decorate downtown in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
