April 8
• The Atlantic Mine Apostolic Lutheran Church will host visiting ministers from Finland at 6 p.m. April 8 in Atlantic Mine. The public is invited.
• Free Soup Supper – Atlantic Mine. 3-6 p.m. Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic Mine offers a free supper on the second Wednesday of each month. All are invited to enjoy soup, bread, and a piece of fruit. A vegan option is available.
April 9
•The Tapiola Apostolic Lutheran Church will host visiting ministers from Finland at 6 p.m. April 9 in Tapiola. The public is invited.
• “Better Together” 9:30 Zion Lutheran Church, Hancock. Better Together will kick off the new season and the speaker will be Lois Weber and her topic will be, “Why Am I Here? It’s a God Thing.” Special music will be provided Lois’s husband, retired Pastor Weber. All area women are invited to attend this fun and inspiring event. A brunch will be served and there is a suggested donation of $10. All proceeds over the cost of the event will be donated to local charities. • Walker Arts and Humanities Center 40th Anniversary Open House 3 -6 p.m. Walker Arts and Humanities Building, MTU
The departments of Humanities and Visual and Performing Arts invite you to the Walker Arts & Humanities Center 40th Anniversary Open House. The event will feature displays, installations, live demos, and media presentations from both departments featuring the work of their diverse and accomplished faculty and students. Please join them for a tour of our facilities and a glimpse into the wide array of courses, research topics, resources, and more that the arts and humanities have to offer right here at Michigan Tech! Light refreshments will be provided.
April 18
• 56th Annual Ed Clements Spaghetti Dinner from 5-7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 16 S. 6th St. L’Anse MI. Enjoy some spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and desserts. There is also a wine pull, silent auction, raffle buckets, Jackpot Raffle tickets, and Scrip/RaiseRight gift cards. All proceeds benefit the SHS Home and School Association. Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for children (age 5-12) and can be purchased in advance from the Sacred Heart School office or any SHS family.
