May 28

• Baraga County Shelter Home pop-up event, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Keweenaw Co-op Hancock. Representatives from the Baraga County Shelter Home will be at the Pop Up Advocacy Space at the Keweenaw Coop between with information about domestic violence, what to do if you or a loved one is experiencing intimate partner violence, and how it impacts our community.

May 29

• Neighbor’s Table Community Meal, 5:30 – 7 p.m. Faith Lutheran Church, Calumet. Take outs available between 6:30 and 7 p.m.. All are welcome, at no charge. Local Girl Scouts will assist with hosting this month’s meal. The menu will include: Lasagna, Spaghetti with meatless sauce, Salad, Garlic Bread, Desserts and Drinks.

• Horizons High School Commencement. 6 p.m. 110 Stanton Ave. Mohawk.

• Schoolcraft Cemetery Work Bee. 4 – 7 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help keep the interior of Schoolcraft Cemetery accessible through trail maintenance, or “Adopt a Plot” to clear around a family gravesite. Officials will be on hand from to provide history, guidance, and introduce stories of some “Residents” of interest. The cemetery is located off US-41, a mile north of Calumet.

June 1

• Keweenaw ATV Club monthly meeting, 7 – 8 p.m. Hubbell VFW. This meeting will be held at the Hubbell VFW on M-26 in Hubbell Mi. We will discuss old and new projects. We have a date for our summer picnic. July 11 2026. Contact: Kitty Beleck.

• MI-TRALE Meeting, 7 p.m. Stannard Township Hall, Bruce Crossing. Anyone interested in maintaining ATV and snowmobile trails in the western U.P. is invited. A ZOOM option is now available for virtual attendance of meetings. Contact Donna Wolf at mi-trale.pr@gmail.com for connection instructions.

June 3

• Feeding America Food Pantry – Ontonagon. The Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry will set up at the Ontonagon Fire Hall, with drive-through distribution beginning at 11 a.m. open to all households in Ontonagon County on a first-come, first-served basis. Some basic information will be collected, but you do not need to bring proof of income.

June 5

• First Friday. The Copper Country Associated Artists celebrates First Fridays with an open house from 6-8 p.m. June 5 at 117 5th St. Calumet. The public is invited to join them for a free art project. Come join them for a different art project each month.
