• Blood Drive, Ontonagon. The Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center will host a blood drive at the Ontonagon Eagles Hall from 2 – 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
• Hancock Farmer’s Marketm 2 – 6 p.m. Quincy Green
• L’Anse Waterfront Concert, 7 p.m. L’Anse Waterfront Park. Music with Rolling Thunder, Traditional Country and More.
• Movie Magic Night. 6:30 p.m. Calumet Theatre. This week’s Calumet Theatre Movie Magic feature is Elio. Admission is free. Popcorn and water cost $1, and candy costs $2.
• Daniell Park Concert Series. 7 – 8:30 p.m. corner of 3rd and Pewabic in Laurium. Tonight’s first concert is by the Copper Country Community Band.
June 26
• Neighbor’s Table Community Meal, 5:30 – 7 p.m. The monthly Neighbor’s Table community meal will be served at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet with takeouts available between 6:30 and 7 p.m,. All are welcome, at no charge.
• Lake Linden Farmer’s Marquette, 3-6 p.m. Lake Linden Park
• Blood Drive, L’Anse, 11 a.m. 3 p.m. The U.P. Regional Blood Center will host a blood drive at the L’Anse Methodist Church. Walk-ins are welcome.
June 27
• Join the Copper Country Associated Artists for its featured artist reception for Dolly Luoma from noon until 6 p.m. Dolly is a needle felting artist. Her work will be on display through the month of July.
• Book Sale, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. CLK Multi-purpose room. Paperbacks — $ .50, hardcover, $1.
June 30
• There will be a meeting of the Copper Country Veterans Association 7 p.m. at the Chassell VFW. All veterans are welcome to attend.
July 4
• July 4 gathering. The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country is holding a special gathering on July 4 to have the community read the Declaration aloud. Called “We Declare,” a rolling reading will begin at noon at the Rotary Pavillion in Kestner Waterfront Park, Houghton. Attendees will read the Declaration, one paragraph at a time. All are welcome to read. In addition to the public reading, the League will be offering free copies of the U.S. Constitution. There is a space on the back of each copy for the person to sign a pledge to support the Constitution. Upon signing, a special commemorative sticker will be added, marking this 250th anniversary. Distribution of the Constitution booklets will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
