July 23

• Hancock Farmer’s Market, 2 – 6 p.m. Quincy Green. The weekly Hancock Farmer’s Market offers fresh local produce, baked goods and handmade crafts at Quincy Green.

• Behind the Fence: WWI and the Waterfront, 6:30 p.m. at Quincy Smelter. During World War I, the Quincy Smelter was secured and its workers vetted for national security passes. Meet at the Quincy Smelter parking lot. Participants will remain outside of smelter buildings and are required to wear hard hats while inside the smelter fence. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Only task-trained service animals are permitted inside the fenced area.

• Stories, Songs and Summer Nights, Chassell Heritage Center Summer program series, 7 p.m. Chassell Heritage Center. Tonight, Terry Hillstrom and Friends, a night of Country Classics. Free admission.

• Copper Harbor performance in the park 7 p.m. Donny Kilpela Memorial Park, Copper Harbor. Tonight: Gail English and Friends.

• Calumet Theatre Movie Magic Night. 6:30 p.m. Calumet Theatre. Tonight’s movie “Beauty and the Beast.” Admission is free.

• Daniell Park Concert. 7 p.m. Daniell Park Laurium, tonight featuring the Hassle Family Band.

• L’Anse Waterfront Concert, 7 p.m. L’Anse Waterfront Park. Tonight’s performer is Cathy Bolton. Bad Weather concerts will be at the L’Anse School Cafeteria.

July 24

• Historic Finnish Heritage Church Open House, 2 – 8 p.m. Historic Suomi Church, 501 Reservation St. Hancock. Come explore our historic 1889 Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church Building and learn how we’re restoring this community landmark for generations to come.

• Lake Linden Farmer’s Market, 3 – 6 p.m. Lake Linden Park

• Canal Rock, 6-9 p.m. Porvoo Park, Hancock. Tonight’s free Hancock Canal Rock at Porvoo Park concert features Uncle Pete’s Red Hot Revue. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and enjoy.

• Bling Crosby at the Chassell Pavilion. Enjoy country favorites, wild rock tunes, and Bling Crosby original music at a free concert at Chassell Centennial Park.

• Roller Skating at the Gripp. 6 – 9 p.m. The George Gipp Arena will be open for roller skating and roller blading every Friday night this summer from 6-9 pm. Admission is $2/per skater. All ages are welcome! Bring your own gear – rental skates are not

available.

July 25

• Beginner Fishing Clinic 1 p.m. Seneca Lake Park. The Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club and Keweenaw National Historical Park present two Beginner Fishing Clinics at Keweenaw County's Seneca Lake Park. Sessions run from 9 a.m. until noon, and 1 – 4 p.m. These family-friendly events offer a welcoming introduction to fishing, with all supplies provided. Whether you're hoping to reel in your first catch or want to learn the basics, these clinics are the perfect opportunity. Registration is required – email cksportsmensclub@gmail.com to secure your spot. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.

• Steam Train Rides, noon – 4 p.m. Houghton County Historical Museum, Lake Linden. Take a ride on the historic steam train at the Houghton County Museum each Saturday between noon and 4 p.m. Adults $6, students $4, ages 3,4 $3, under 3 free.

Aug. 1

• Pancake Breakfast, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Bonfire Restaurant, Houghton. The Houghton High School Alumni Association will hold its Pancake Breakfast with Silent Pie Auction this year at the Bonfire Restaurant, Montezuma Avenue in Houghton, serving variety of pancakes, Vollwerth sausage, coffee, juice, suggested donation is $10 per adult, while supply lasts. Tickets are available in advance from committee members and at the door. Open to the public.

August 8

• White Pine Mine Reunion, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Registration from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., at White Pine American Legion. BBQ, Hot dogs and desserts. Side dishes are always appreciated. Call Jim “Cookie” Cook for more information: 715-551-0887.
