• Matt & Pete Manderfield Annual Chicken BBQ. Noon – 5:30 p.m. Dee Stadium. The event is the annual fundraiser for the Houghton-Hancock Lions Club. • Community Rummage Sale, 5 – 8 p.m. Houghton County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building. Sponsored by t he Houghton County Fair Association, the sale will be held Saturday as well. There is a $10 rental fee per 150 sq.ft. space, which includes two tables. Additional tables are available for a small fee. You can rent more than one space if needed. • Neighbor’s Table Community Meal, 5:30 – 7 p.m. Faith Lutheran Church Calumet. The monthly Neighbor’s Table community meal will be served at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. with takeouts available between 6:30 and 7 p.m.. All are welcome for fellowship, no charge.

• Pancake Breakfast, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Bonfire Restaurant, Houghton. The Houghton High School Alumni Association will hold its Pancake Breakfast with Silent Pie Auction this year at the Bonfire Restaurant, Montezuma Avenue in Houghton, serving variety of pancakes, Vollwerth’s sausage, coffee, juice, suggested donation is $10 per adult, while supply lasts. Tickets are available in advance from committee members and at the door. Open to the public.

• Keweenaw County Historical Society Program, 7 p.m. Keweenaw National Historical Park Visitor Center, 5th St. Calumet. “Copper and Courage: Keweenaw County in the Civil War.” KNHP Ranger Lynette Webber reviews Keweenaw County’s links to the Civil War, including how one early mine agent/former Copper Harbor resident later was suspected as a mastermind behind the Lincoln assassination.

This annual tradition features an exceptional group of local musicians who generously donate their talents in support of Omega House. Admission is a suggested $10 donation, with all proceeds benefiting Omega House.
