• UP Wild Wilderness Walk, 7 p.m. Gardeners Creek Nature Trail (Gather at the Calumet Waterworks parking lot). The Wilderness Walks are opportunities to connect with God and each other in an outdoor natural setting. Each walk has a leader who will guide the walk and stop along the way for readings and reflection. The walks are appropriate for all ages, including families and children. No religious affiliation is necessary. Everyone is welcome.
• Gas Train Rides, noon – 4 p.m. Houghton County Historical Museum, M-26 Lake Linden. Take a ride on the gas train at the Houghton County Historical Museum in Lake Linden every Wednesday through September. Tickets are available at the museum – Adults $6; Students $4; 3-5 years old $3; under 3, free.
• Free Soup Supper, 3 – 6 p.m. Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 47281 Adventure St, Atlantic Mine. All are invited to enjoy soup, bread and a piece of fruit. A vegan option is available.
• Adventures in History, 7 p.m. Eagle Harbor Community Center. “She’s Not as Shiny as She Used to Be: the Shipwreck of the City of Bangor.” Keweenaw County Historical Society Trustee Mark Rowe shares the story of the shipwrecked City of Bangor, a ship which ran aground 100 years ago, when its crew was rescued and its cargo of new Chrysler and Whippet automobiles was largely saved. Suggested donation: $5.00.
• Summer Slam Concert Series, 7 p.m. Houghton Downtown Pier. Tonight, Fast Car.
• The Calumet Theatre’s Summer Concert Series 7 p.m. Tonight’s concert presents Adam Kiddle in “Almost Elvis.” There is no charge, but donations to the performer will be appreciated.
• "Camping in Colombia: A Real-Life Corporate Fairy Tale," presentation by Joseph Heywood 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Calumet Public Library Open to the Public.

• Downtown Houghton Concert Series, 7 p.m. Ray Kestner Waterfront Park. The Downtown Houghton Concert Series presents a different performer each Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in August at the bandshell at Ray Kestner Waterfront Park. Tonight, enjoy music from Tom Katalin. There is no charge. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Kids can play at Chutes and Ladders nearby.
• Movies on the Green, 9:30 p.m. Quincy Green, Hancock. Tonight’s film is “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.”

• Let’s Eat Community meal at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell (just north of town on US-41). Please join us from 4-5:30 p.m. The meal is free of charge. The sponsor for our August meal is the Memorial Chapel of Chassell. The menu for this meal will be Fried Rice, Chicken with Sweet and Sour Sauce, cooked broccoli, fruit and a dessert.

• Omega House Summer Concert, 7 p.m. Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton. This annual tradition features an exceptional group of local musicians who generously donate their talents in support of Omega House. The evening will include a delightful blend of jazz, light opera, folk, and popular music, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Admission is a suggested $10 donation

• Mental Health Board Meeting. The Copper Country Community Mental Health Services’ Board meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at Copper Country Mental Health’s Ontonagon County Center located at 515 Quartz Street in Ontonagon.
