• Musical Monday, 7 p.m. Keweenaw heritage Center at St. Anne’s. Tonights music by the Home Choir Acappella singers, under the direction of Susie Byykkonen. Admission by donation to the roof fund.

• Stuff the backpacks, 9 a.m. – noon, Salvation Army, Hancock. Volunteers are needed to fill backpacks with school supplies. The backpacks will be given to local students at no charge through the Angel Mission Backpack program. Please email if you are able to help, angelmission49931@gmail.com.
• Omega House Summer Concert, 7 p.m. Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton. This annual tradition features an exceptional group of local musicians who generously donate their talents in support of Omega House. The evening will include a delightful blend of jazz, light opera, folk, and popular music, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Admission is a suggested $10 donation.
• Houghton Farmers market is held each Tuesday from 3 until 6 on the downtown pier, and features local fresh produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items.
• Mohawk Park concert, 6-8 p.m. Mohawk Park. Tonight Lee and Diane Jurva, Curt Pennala & Janell Huuki.

• Summer Slam Concert Series, 7 p.m. Houghton Downtown Pier. Tonight, music by Uncle Floyd.
• The Calumet Theatre’s Summer Concert Series presents traditional and roots music from Tapestry. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. There is no charge, but donations to the performers will be appreciated.
August 20
• Downtown Houghton Concert Series, 7 p.m. Ray Kestner Waterfront Park. The Downtown Houghton Concert Series presents a different performer each Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in August at the bandshell at Ray Kestner Waterfront Park. Tonight, enjoy rockin’ country from Outlaw’d.
There is no charge. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Kids can play at Chutes and Ladders nearby.

• Mental Health Board Meeting. The Copper Country Community Mental Health Services’ Board meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at Copper Country Mental Health’s Ontonagon County Center located at 515 Quartz Street in Ontonagon.
September 2
• Inter-Lutheran Seminary. The fall semester starts on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Daily classes include Christian Dogmatics II, Eschatology, Gospel of Mark, Genesis, Evangelism, Churches, Sects & Isms and Daniel. The Monday night class will be the Acts of the Apostles and starts on Sept. 14, at 916 Pine Street, Hancock and also available online.
