June 11 • Better Together Keweenaw 9:30 a.m. Better Together Keweenaw will meet at Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock. The speaker will be Andrea Morse, a teacher at the Houghton Elementary School. Andrea’s topic will be “My Daily Bread.” She will also provide the special music. All area women are invited to attend this fun and inspiring event. A brunch will be served and there is a suggested donation of $10. All proceeds over the cost of the event will be donated to local charities. June 8 • Chassell-Houghton Trail meeting. 6:30 p.m. Chassell Fire Dept. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold a public meeting for property owners in both Chassell Township and Portage Township who own land adjacent to the DNR Trail running between Chassell and Houghton.
