Adams Schools responds to social media posts
ADAMS TOWNSHIP — A photograph that circulated on social media last week depicted students at South Range Elementary School brandishing a toy gun as part of what they said was part of their Halloween costumes. The social media post went viral.
On Monday morning, Adams Township Superintendent Tim Keteri issued a statement in which he acknowledged the costume was inappropriate and did not align with the policies of the Adams Township Board of Education.
“As a district, we understand the negative impact that (this) may have on our community and alumni,” Keteri said in the statement. “Please be assured that we take this matter seriously.”
