Young America’s Foundation hosts Military Care Package Drive
HOUGHTON — The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) at Michigan Tech is hosting their second annual Military Care Package Drive. They will be collecting items until Nov. 16.
The organization will be sending care packages with items like food, hygiene products, and entertainment items to deployed members of America’s military.
“We aim to bring hope, joy, and the comforts of home to deployed troops throughout the holiday season.” the organization said in a press release.
Along with item donations, community members can donate to the Liberty and Freedom Fund at Michigan Tech. Money from this fund will be used to support shipping costs and purchase additional items for care packages. To donate, visit huskiesforamerica.com/donate.
