U.P. Labor-Management Council Annual Conference announced

The U.P. Labor-Management Council, Inc. has once again selected the Island Resort & Casino in Harris as the host site for its 2020 Annual Conference. The conference, entitled “Celebrating 50 Years – 1970-2020”, has been scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2020. The one-day conference will feature five educational seminars for participants. The morning general session “Honoring Those of the Past: 50 Years of UPLMC” will be presented by Don Maki, FMCS. Breakout sessions include “Supervisor/Steward Training” presented by Federal Mediator Don Maki, “Enhancing Union Member Participation” presented by Bob Koerschner, IBEW International Representative, and “Contract Interpretation” presented by Attorney Fred Swartz. All three breakout sessions will be offered once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The final general session for the 2020 Annual Conference will be “Strengths-Based Leadership” presented by Jim Cederna, Cederna International, Inc. Anyone in the workplace representing labor or management, as well as college students would find this conference educational and time well spent.
