CALUMET – Designotype Printers, Inc. owner, Margaret Helminen, earned the votes of her peers to win second place at an Idea Exchange during the recent National Print Owners Associaiton (NPOA) Conference in Houston, Texas.

The Idea Exchange is a presentation of marketing and best practice ideas from the print owners who attend. Anyone can volunteer an idea, and the 2 best ideas win by a majority vote. Helminen won the idea exchange several times in past years.

The printing conference is held yearly, and well-known speakers are often featured. Bryan Flanagan, former employee of IBM and the Zig Ziglar Corporation, spoke to us this year about personal and team growth, and sales.

“The coronavirus topic was spoken about extensively,” Helminen said, “and many good ideas were discussed to help us teach our customers how to market their businesses while their doors are locked, or visitors and employees are restricted.”

Designotype has compiled a list of tips for the food industry as they serve take-out and deliver meals, and has created an extensive Marketing Planner to help all businesses interested in growing in 2020. “The list and planner are complimentary,” Helminen offered, “and may be requested by calling 482-2424 or sending me an email.” margaret@designotype.com.

Because of our printing association’s influence in Washington, Designotype Printers is considered an essential business. Our doors are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help area businesses with marketing, full service mailing, and printing.
