The Upper Peninsula Power Company at 9 a.m today reported power outages for at least 1,400 customers in Ontonagan County.

UPPCO spokesman Dave Forsberg said all crews were out in the field this morning assessing damage from downed trees to power lines throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, the western U.P. and into Ishpeming.
