Teacher contract: LL-H Board approves union pact
LAKE LINDEN – The Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools Board of Education ratified a one-year contract with the district’s teachers union at its meeting Monday.
The new contract includes full steps and a 0.75 percent salary increase, said Superintendent Craig Sundblad. The district’s insurance contribution was also raised to the new cap amounts – $16,751.23 for a family plan, $12,845.04 for a two-person plan and $6,142.11 for a single plan. The total cost of a family plan is about $21,000 a year.
The contract will go through June 30, a change from the Aug. 31 end date of previous contracts.
Sundblad said the contract was resolved in one negotiating session.
“We were really happy,” he said. “We thought it was a good process, and their teachers were really fair about it.”
