LAKE LINDEN – Students at Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Schools can now use the web publishing class to meet the state’s Visual/Performing Arts credit graduation requirement.

The Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Schools Board approved the change at Monday’s meeting. Web publishing joins music, band, shop, wood and creative writing as classes allowed for the credit.

“Last year, it was really a breath of fresh air to have this class, because it helped us with so many things,” said Superintendent Craig Sundblad. “They’re the ones that do the sports broadcast for us. I think it very easily fits within the confines of a Visual/Performing Arts credit.”

Sundblad said the change could make the class appealing for freshmen or sophomores looking for a way to meet the VPA requirement.
