L’ANSE — A 40-year old Baraga County resident was sentenced in 12th Circuit Court in L’Anse to 51-85 months in prison Tuesday for the delivery of methamphetamine. Lawrence Rodney Dowd Jr. plead guilty to the meth-related charge. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dismissed the charge as a fourth habitual offense. According to media reporting, Dowd Jr. was on probation in Ontonagon County when he was arrested in Baraga County for methamphetamine delivery.
