Treat Street moved to a Saturday
HOUGHTON – For the first time, Houghton’s Treat Street will be held on a Saturday.
The Halloween Trick-or-Treat event for children, which takes place on Shelden Avenue, will start at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
Susie Landers, business development director for Houghton, said the move from Fridasys was made to accommodate rush hour traffic, which was getting backed up due to the closure of Shelden Avenue.
“It really does throw a bit of a hindrance for them,” she said.
Black Ice Comics will also have a large event that day, she said.
