31 BACKPACKS volunteers still needed; the mission continues

Despite the turbulence COVID-19 has been causing, 31 BACKPACKS is still in full swing. 31 BACKPACKS will make food deliveries if parents are unable to make pick-ups at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church on 601 Ingot Street in Hancock. Volunteers are still needed to prepare for the Spring Break meal preparations.

If you’re in good health and looking for a way to help your community during this time, please consider helping 31 BACKPACKS. With area schools closed, kids in need will be relying on this food more than before. Volunteer opportunities will be on Monday, Mar. 16 at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, Mar. 17 at 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, Mar. 18 at 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. 31 BACKPACKS would like to thank all volunteers in advance.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please email Laurel Maki, 31backpacks@gmail.com
