Tech Theater and Quincy Mine Hoist Association present “A Haunted Drive Thru at the Mine”
HOUGHTON – The Department of Visual and Performing Arts and the Quincy Mine Hoist Association announce their spooky Halloween collaboration “A Haunted Drive Thru at the Mine” Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 29 through 31, at the Quincy Mine Ruins. Pricing: $10 per car. Tickets may only be purchased at the entrance to the drive through at the mine.
Tech Theatre Teams up with Quincy Mine to present a spectacularly spooky DRIVE THRU Halloween experience at the mine ruins. According to Kent Cyr, Assistant Professor, Technical Director at Michigan Technological University, “We’ve got a multi-layered project in the works, with built and lit scenic elements out in the mine ruins, and original scary podcast/stories producted by the Tech Theatre Company. The sounds will play on a long loop broadcast over a low-power FM transmitter. As people drive the ruins along the path marked out, they can tune their radios to the “Haunted Mine Drive-Thru” Halloween broadcast.”
Proceeds benefit the Quincy Mine Hoist Association.
Michigan Technological University is an equal opportunity educational institution/equal opportunity employer.
