HOUGHTON, MI. – Elizabeth Hertel, Director for the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has reappointed Ed Jenich as the state’s representative to the Houghton County Department of Health and Human Services Board.

The Houghton County Department of Health and Human Services Board plays a vital role in the successful delivery of financial and social services provided to the citizens of Houghton County. Jenich has served as the state’s representative for a number of years.

“I’m honored to be selected as a member of the board and play such an important role in the successful delivery of financial and social services to the residents of Houghton County,” Jenich said.

Jenich a familiar face in the community, having served Houghton County for the past 40 years in many capacities including Mayor of Laurium, Houghton County Commissioner, Keweenaw National Historic Park Board of Directors, Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP).
